Bonjour, je m’appelle Lucie. I’m a French teacher and tutor based in London, helping adults speak French with confidence for work, study or personal goals. I teach privately online to students in Europe and the USA, and in group classes at the Institut français du Royaume-Uni.

As an accredited DELF examiner-corrector, I also prepare students for the DELF and DALF exams.

I was born and grew up in the Loire Valley, and I have lived in the UK for 25 years. I started teaching French shortly after moving here as an au pair, which showed me how differently English and French work and where learners get stuck. After my studies, I worked for over a decade for international organisations, using both languages at a high level.

The pandemic gave me the chance to turn my passion for teaching into a full-time career, encouraged by my students’ kind words. I have since completed a Master’s in Teaching French as a Foreign and Second Language.
